BasPro: Level 3

Oh well what do you know I passes again! And leveled up too! BasPro 3 like the first and second classes had me stumbling at the starting line but I still managed to get to the finish line with my three member group. We accomplished the task given to us and fought our way to the finish line, just like all the four membered groups.

This term's project is no longer about the ever memorable game of rock paper scissors, but a game themed on BDaman. I'd need to Credit the maker so here is their official site!

I have a picture of our prototype it unlike the other groups was made with Glut, rather than Blender, BIG mistake. We forgotten that when we made the prototype.

As for the finished project, we finally managed to put together the Blender file with the commands found in the Glut file.

BasPro: Level 2

WhoooHoo! Leveled up and passes BasPro1! They say that BasPro1 was the hardest, but I beg to differ they seem just as tough after you get used to seeing floating code in your sleep and spare time. In this Basic Programing 2 class I developed a habit of using functions to draw and call the 3D objects and the none 3D objects. Sadly I have a limited supply of pictures, this is what happened if one does not back up files as often as one eats. I did manage to find the group final project of Rock Paper Scissors. I made the 3D objects and the others did the other codes. I recall a certain speaker mentioning that the artist should not handle the code. I beg to differ...

ComGraph: Zombie Vs. Robots

 To start the second year of my studies I took up ComGraph. It's a subject where we used Photoshop often. We simply made robots with odd shapes given to us by our energetic prof.This is the robots I made with this parts he gave us.

Later we made our own parts and created our own set of bots. After playing Portal way too long I decided to make my bots Turret themed. Unlike the first one I used the first one I made as a template. then started to add more and more into it.

As an unseen circumstance I shall need to skip a few plate. I left them in the school computer, but hope to regain them later.

Midterm plate. It is a screen shot of the final project game. The game was themed Zombie Vs. Robots.  I actually plotted the game, but that needed some changes. I have included my Dragon Zombie and a Turret  to show what I have made after two days.

Plot:
Storyline:
Evil Dr.Zomidad sends a mighty zombie dragon to attack the robot base and retrieve Zog, his dog.

Scene:
level in map where the player(Zombie Dragon) just started out and is fighting the first wave of twenty turrets.

Dragon attacks:
atk- slash
down atk- pound
atk dash- trample
front atk- bite
back atk- tail whip
def atk- wing slash
dash atk- trample/skull bash

Power Ups :
-Flame breath
-Acid Spit
-Devour

Dragon defense:
def - wing shield
up - jump
up up - double jump
up up HOLD - limited fly
front front - dash

 After the Midterm our amazing prof introduced us to Layer Compositions. He had us make an up grade screen for home work. The first picture( top left) is the upgrade screen where the player uses the Monzie collected from the destruction of enemies. It shows the shop which at the moment is selling power ups. The second picture( top center) is one that shows the player has selected an item causing the description to show. The next picture (top right) show that the player having wanted the power up has bought the item, which is now sold out until the next wave. Having bought an item the player check the inventory to see he has indeed bought it, this is shown in the lower left picture. You can never be careful about possible glitches! Now, in the lower right picture the player has selected to leave the upgrading shop screen and is given the choice to return to the battle field and fight off more waves or to save that for later.

These are another few pictures on the lesson of making layer compositions. The images here, except for the turret, belong to my awesome Prof. These are fight scenes the top three are of the start of a wave and the last one is the ever favorite Game Over screen. Zombie Vs Robots!
